Sazka Group May Compete for UK Lottery Operating License
Sazka Group has been reported to be considering entering the competition for the UK National Lottery Operating License. The company that is based in the Czech Republic has claimed that it has a proven track record when it comes to franchising. The company believes that it is ideally placed to take over the Lottery License in the UK.
If Sazka Group obtains the UK national Lottery operating license, then it will officially become the first company to have changed the management of the lottery since 1994. Camelot Group has been the only company that has been able to win control of the lottery license for three terms.
However, Sazka Group is not the only company that is looking to win the UK National Lottery Operating License. Some of the big names that are in the running for the lottery license include Sir Richard Branson and Richard Desmond.

Sazka Group Willing to Expand European Presence
The UK Gambling Commission is going to launch the bidding process soon. The UKGC appointed Rothschild & Co to consider all the interested parties in the license and choose the best company. Sazka Group has described itself as the biggest and most successful lottery operator in Europe. However, it is looking to expand its stronghold in the continent further.
Sazka Group is waiting for more information from the UK Gambling Commission before it can formally make a bidding offer. A spokesperson of the company told the media that it was well aware of the competition for the UK National Lottery License. Once the UKGC announced the terms and conditions, the company will evaluate them and come up with a strategy.
Overview
In the previous months, there have been rumours that the Australian-based gambling company, Tabcorp, is also interested in taking part in the bidding process. However, the rumours were squashed as soon as they emerged. The company stated that it is not interested in taking part in the bidding process because it wants to focus on its domestic operations.
